 IN KEEPING WITH CATHEDRAL'S MISSION OF SERVICE:

Cathedral Emergency Services is a downtown pantry serving those within a specific geographic area.

Following Christ's example, we strive to serve those in need with a consistent and respectful approach. We welcome all with non-judgemental and positive attitudes.

We advocate for our clients and help them to utilize other agencies and social services.

As the Gospel teaches, we encounter Christ in the act of ministering to others.

"I was hungry, and you gave me food;

I was thirsty, and you gave me drink;

I was a stranger, and you welcomed me."

                                   Matthew 25:35

WHAT WE DO

FOOD PANTRY

Last year we served over 4,500 families and 8,000 individuals.

One of our grocery bags provides 3 meals per day for 3 days.

Our food pantry provided for over 140,000 meals last year.

Families and individuals are eligible to receive food every (30) days.

CLOTHING

When available we pass out warm clothing to the needy of our community.

REFERRAL SERVICES

CES is blessed with two Basic Needs workers from Catholic Charities who refer all clients to the necessary agencies for help. Many times they help the individuals and families on our premises.

 BREAD
 & DOUGHNUTS

After 1:30 P.M. each day, free bread and doughnuts are distributed to those in need.

CATHEDRAL'S OXFORD INN BREAKFAST PROGRAM

Every Wednesday we serve approximately  70 men and women a hot nutritional breakfast put on by over 20 volunteers. This program was started over 20 years ago by individuals and the Daughters of Charity.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

We can only continue this level of service to adults and children if we receive donations from private and public organizations and/or individuals.

Donations of food, money, clothing, personal items, diapers, and baby formula enables us to continue servicing others and helping  those in need.
Please send or bring  your donations to our center at 264 East Onondaga Street  or drop them at the Cathedral during regular office hours or during any of the listed Mass times.
